Traveling again

I am beginning to realize that one week between long trips is not quite ample time to get back to normal. We traveled to Orlando, FL last week, were home this week, and leave tomorrow for Rock Hill, SC. I am excited about the trip, but could have used more time home.

We started today with a text from Mom Mom Krupka asking of I wanted to go to a yard sale. I quickly got up and fed Mikayla, ate and dressed both of us....and off we went. We got a new toy box for outside, a ride on car, a doll, a toy phone, and a lot of clothes. Some of the clothes were even brand new! It was a fun morning. Mikayla then played outside with her new toys for about a half hour while I cleaned up and made her lunch. We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today and eat outside. She actually ate all of her lunch...even though she played throughout. Playing outside helped her take a great nap today too!

During naptime, I packed our things for our trip tomorrow. We are going to my grandparents house for the week. We go to an amusement park, called Carowinds, everyday while we are there. It is tons of fun. Hopefully I will be able to get online while we are there to blog and post pictures. Anyway, we are really looking forward to this annual tradition. The only dark cloud is...Matt is unable to go with us this time. Because of the timing, he is needed at work. We will miss him so much!

To end our day today, Mom Mom and Pop Pop Krupka took us to Annapolis, MD tonight. We ate at Whole Foods grocery store, had coffee and read books at Barnes and Noble, then went back to Whole Foods to shop a little bit. I had never been to a Whole Foods and now that I have been, I wish there was one closer to us. It was great! Of course while we were at Barnes and Noble, Mom Mom bought Mikayla a few more books. We love books!

Now our day is winding down, and Mikayla is finally asleep and I need to head there too. We had fun today and are looking forward to worshipping at church tomorrow.

Pictures of our Last Play date

Well, we got to see our friends the Evans one more time than we thought. I didn't take any pictures, but I do have some pictures of the day before. Mikayla is going to miss those girls, and I am going to miss Alice. It has been great to know that God provides what we need at exactly the right time.

Saying Goodbye

I spent last night getting things ready for Matt to leave us today. He and a friend from work left at 4:00 am to head to Jacksonville, FL. They drove the 12 hours instead of flying this time. It has been quite some time since Matt has had to travel for work, and we are not used to him being gone from us. We are slowly making the adjustment and we remember that at least he will be home in a week.

This morning we had what was probably our last visit with our friends, the Evans. Mikayla, Maelyn, and Lily (along with their mommies), walked to a park in base housing. They really enjoyed swinging and climbing. It was a quick visit, but lots of fun.

Hopefully I will be able to get some pictures posted soon.

The beginning of our blog

Well, this is the first entry in the Krupka blog. Many of my friends have asked for this to be able to keep up with our family.

We just returned from a week in Orlando, Florida. Matt had a business trip so Mikayla and I went along with him. We stayed in a castle hotel(not a Disney hotel), but it was kind of neat. We had a lot of rain while there, but we still made it to SeaWorld a few times. Mikayla loved to watch all of the whales and dolphins in the various shows. She coined the phrase "oh wow!" while there. She absolutely loved it.

After returning from Florida, we had a big Memorial Day Picnic. It was a little crazy getting things together so quickly after returning from Florida, but we pulled it off. We had several friends over and Matt made his famous ribs and chicken. Everyone ate until they were stuffed. It was also a great way to spend some final quality time with our friends the Evans. They are moving away next week. Thanks to the military.

Tonight, we took the Evans to sushi. Alice and I had some a few weeks ago, and she wanted us to take Matt and Wade the next time. We really enjoyed the food and the company. We have realized yet again how much we are going to miss them.

Hope everyone enjoys reading about our family on the Krupka farm
